Half full or half empty?
"They" say ... Every cloud has a silver lining, sometimes you can't always see it though.
Is the glass 1/2 full: or 1/2 empty?
I hear there's a school of thought says it's always full, it's just a matter of what it's full of (1/2 air: 1/2 whatever you're drinking)
I tend to be slightly that way inclined, I've always reckoned there's an "up" side to most things ... Take retirement & Bank Holidays & weather.
If you're retired you can make use of the good weather whenever it is. "Down" side ... you don't get any bank holidays.
The down side of the trip to Edinburgh ... Lens knackered beyond economical repair.
The up side I got a second hand lens which does, almost, the same job.
Down side ... it doesn't do MACRO like the old/dead one used to.
Up side ... It always works correctly, on demand, without telling me it cannot connect to the camera.
The Iris ... Upside ... BOTH bandages worked sufficiently well to allow flowering.
Down side ... It's a wee bit "Nowtish" now it has flowered.
