On top of the water pipe

The pipe carrying water from storage lakes to the Water Treatment Station has a flat top along which it is possible to run or walk. Early evening today I had a brisk half hour walk with my camera, partly on the Pipeline. The photo shows the pipeline with protective fences where the fall is at least 1 metre. In the distance the Water Treatment Station is visible on the far side of the road..

I was welcomed back home by one of the Tui which either roost or have a nest in a tree adjacent to the wee deck outside my study. The bright sun meant that in the best place to see the whole bird, I was blinded by that warmth giving sun. I have posted a photo of the Tui as an extra
