York #1

We arrived in York late morning and were able to check in and unpack before setting out exploring! I've passed through York on the train many times and this was my first proper visit. Luke brought his portable dvd player so we watched I Give It a Year on the way up, laugh out loud funny in many places but overall not that good! We then went to the Reel Cinema at the end of the day to see Man of Steel, again this was good in places but I couldn't quite get down with the mass destruction of the city, hello Superman tens of thousands of people have died while you've had your skyscraper fight!!


ANYWAY! This is taken from a tour we did after lunch which was very informative and all free thanks to the wonderful Association of Voluntary Guides to The City we just had a good wander afterwards and very indulgent shakes in The Chocolate Story!
