Humungus Fungus

Was visiting the Solas Festival this evening newly moved to my constituency. Spotted this enormous fungus on one of the trees. I've no idea what it is - I did check the internet and the nearest I can see is something called Inonotus dryadeus.

have now learned it is actually a Polyporus squamosus or Dryad's Saddle. Its certainly big enough to be a saddle!!
