Big, blowsy and beautiful

We inherited these wonderful pink peonies which make such a show every June. Just as they reach their best it seems that the heavens open and try to dash them, but they are not easily beaten. This Summer Solstice day has been one of sunshine and showers: this was taken during a dry interlude but if you go 'large' you can see the raindrops on this lovely bloom.
