St Ann's Square

Known in our house as Stan's Square, this was an interlude in a shopping trip to Manchester, involving one of the things I least enjoy - trying-on clothes.  Nevertheless, some were bought.  Then a pleasant lunch. My main course included a "fried heritage hen's egg." I didn't like to ask whether the word "heritage" related to the hen or the egg or indeed as to which came first, not wanting to come across as in any way sarcastic.
