San Cipriano, Infiesto.

I couldn´t resist this one when I saw it through the weather. It´s the church of San Cipriano, on the hill above Infiesto. It was a very large building, presumably therefore an important church, and probably finished off in about the 17th century, but it´s now derelict. The story is that it was the site of a massive ammunition store in the Civil War, presumably belonging to the Nationalist (Francoist) forces, and somehow the ammunition got blown up. Hence for example the absence of a roof. In this and other ways the structural damage is obvious and extensive, but this image through the bad weather appealed to me and I wanted to show it as it is, as the main photo. More detail in the extras.
