An incautious foot has caused the dodgy flooring-piece in the hall to pop a corner, so it is now marked and illuminated to prevent injury until it can be repaired, hopefully by the people who installed it rather than the person who swore to never again get involved with removing then re-laying a houseworth of laminate.
