All in a days work
How delighted was I to find this in my latest 'ratch' through my memories.
This is a photograph of a hand drawn map, drawn by Ross the boss for my mate Lyn and I for our days work. It was on a sheep station north of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Many of our days were spent doing mill runs out in the bush. We basically left the homestead for the day in the suzuki !
Through the thousands of acres of bush, I loved the scenery and surroundings the awesome red dirt I still love ! Anyway the work consisted of checking water troughs were clean and running and ensuring the windmill was working. This was so the sheep had water to drink out there in the bush. It was a fantastic time and one of the best jobs ever. I count ]myself to be very lucky to have had that experience.
So, the boss drew us a map to help us find our way, fortunately for me my bestest mate lyn was a true blue Aussie and managed to navigate if it had been down to me I'd still be out there. I love that I have such fabulous memories to look back on and to remind myself what a lucky person I am.
