X is for EVACUATION

Despite the smiles, this is a sombre moment as we mark the porch window with an easily visible X to denote that we have heeded the flood warning (see yesterday's blip) and evacuated the premises.

Philosophically, this is a difficult pill to swallow. I don't feel that we need to evacuate just yet but then maybe the powers that be know better. I am also suspicious that the X may also be a nice invitation to burglars....
