Dusk over the toon
Busy friday. Unbearably hot in the office and they seem to be doing work somewhere nearby so we had the constant beep of diggers and work vehicles reversing and changing direction which got very annoying. I just put my headphones on and tried to drown it out with the radio.
I had to get a bit of supermarket shopping after work so I thought i'd brave the rush hour traffic and head over to Craigleith Sainsbury's for a change. Got there fairly quickly which was very welcome but ended up doing a bit of 'other shopping' first.
You know sometimes when you go shopping you see nothing you like, well today it was exactly the opposite. I ended up getting a pair of jeans, a cardi, a pair of nice red suede pumps, a scarf, some socks, a new cover for my phone, a case for OH's kindle fire. Couldn't belive it. there were other items I could easliy have bought as well but I had to refrain cos the purse couldn't cope.
Then a quick 10 minute dash around the supermarket and home.
We decided to go for an evening stroll with Bailey and I persuaded OH that a trip up Calton Hill was a good idea. It was rather busy up there, perhaps with people wanting to see the sunset on the longest day of the year, who knows. I could have sat up there for ages as it was warm and peaceful as long as you managed to get out of earshot of the bongo playing that was going on somewhere. OH however isn't interested in just sitting and chilling, he doesn't get it so we didn't hang around very long, more's the pity.
I took quite a few photos but this one using the panoramic function on the iPhone pleased me the most.
Edinburgh is such a bonny place :)
