Up and busy again, preparing lunch for A&N and Ad, doing some ironing and finally clearing the kitchen of the last of the things I’d brought back from P’s.
I made A’s favourite, slow roast shoulder of lamb with harissa, ras-al-hanout and pomegranate molasses with Turkish rice pilaf and various roasted veg, then sticky toffee pudding …Nigella’s recipe therefore way too much (delicious!) sticky sweet sauce!
We chatted about ways to edit down the vast number of photos we all have, plans for when Ad graduates, flat sharing, golf games, having relatives to stay at Christmas, and Ad’s siblings learning to drive, then we started thinking about various gigs and events coming up. We’re all going to see Hamilton in March….and ended up watching the Disney film of the Broadway show to remind us…Ad was even more word perfect than A!
Lovely convivial afternoon…all happily slumped, feeling too full and singing along! A mentioned it was their anniversary…they’ve been together 13 years today so we got them to tell the story of how they met and I took a quick snap of them to mark the day.
