Resisting the parakeets

Last year, we occasionally had one or two parakeets visiting the garden, but they obviously talked to their friends and we regularly have 6 or more now. Hence the experimentation with parakeet-resistant feeders. No-one on the internet dares to claim a parakeet-proof feeder, so resistance is the best we can hope for and this feeder does seem to be slowing them down.
