Flowers of Ice
Today's walk was going to be a forest trail - a nice gentle slope to continue my learning experience with the poles. It turned out to be a slog through a rutted mess of shattered puddles and frozen mud - the forest has been felled, and the extraction is in progress, great towers of spruce trunks piled up waiting for the trucks to haul them away.
The patterns in the cracked ice were interesting.
