Aberystwyth from afar.

What a day. Went out cycling with friends from Aberaeron, we call ourselves the Aeron Grupetto, at 8.30. Haven't cycled outdoors for 3 months and it was a cold one. Minus 3 degrees C inland and quite icy but beautifully sunny with beautirful glistening countryside. Fifteen miles in and I have a flat tyre which kept deflating (tubeless tyres and a faulty valve). Sally had to drive out and pick up me and the bike. Never mind, a warming bath then out to the Harbour Master for an excellent Sunday Roast lunch cheered me up.
The weather has been good all day and with the low temperatures, very clear. The main is Aberystwyth which is about 15 miles away across Cardigan Bay. The mountain in the far background is Cadair Idris.
The extra is a cormorant perched on a groyne, drying its wings after diving for fish. It seems to be a favourite drying place as we often see a cormorant perched there.
