Búðir

The former fishing village of Búðir on the amazingly beautiful Snaefellsnes peninsula in Iceland is today reduced to only this church and a luxury hotel. The scenery includes mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, lava fields, the sea and sand dunes overgrown with grass - all in one glance.

On the other side of the peninsula we saw glimpses of killer whales while walking on the cliffs by the sea.
