an unusual encounter

this young woman (along with her companion, possibly her sister) approached, appearing quite anxious -- and they asked if they could make a call on my cell phone. they appeared to be tourists (i later found that they were from florida) and they implied that they were lost -- so i said ok.

the sister (or friend) walked several yards away and made her call and talked and talked talked and talked -- which is when i took this photo.

eventually, i just said something about needing to get going - at which point the one on the phone seemed annoyed and handed me back the iPhone with a harrumph. and she acted suspicious of me wanting to take their photo...as if i had been the one to approach them!
