The plumber

The water pipe to our toilet froze this weekend. Luckily we have two. I sent a message to the plumber yesterday. He came in the morning. He was served coffee. He put me in the basement with Mrs B’s hair dryer which I used to blow hot air in the pipe where the frozen water pipe was. The plumber was sitting in the other end with the vacuum cleaner soaking up the heat, whilst drinking coffee. The frozen water melted in two hours. I was happy the job was done so easily. Lots of frozen pipes around in the neighbourhood. Minus 20C or lower some days in the row might give surprises. Never got it before after all these years in the same house though.
