Poor paws!

Rather lovely today if a little cold.
Joe has been picking at a cyst he has on a paw, hence the sock.
The insurance for our car is due for renewal this week and the cost has gone up 57% compared to last year!!
I contacted the company and they said the cost of insurance has gone up 61% on average due to inflation and more claims.
I said I was not happy with the increase and they gave me a better price which would reduce the increase to about 27% which is more acceptable.
But why did they not give me this price at the beginning!
I’m not good at haggling but why should you have to!!
