Funchal

We left home in sub-zero temperatures this morning and arrived into Funchal, Madeira with a very pleasant 22C. It did start to rain shortly after we arrived as we had a wander round the old town, but has now stopped and the forecast looks good for the next couple of days. We have been to Madeira before, twice to stay on the island and twice from cruise ships. We are staying in a hotel which is new to us, in a good location but somewhat lacklustre and very quiet. My initial reaction was to move but we will probably just stay put.
