Sad Tiger
This morning, Martin returned to Winchester by train, and my sister arrived by train from Cornwall. The threatened tube strike had been called off yesterday, and despite the recent flooding and other rail problems, GWR provide a very good service , and so she had a smooth journey to the London suburbs. She joined me at our aunt's home as a brief flurry of snow/sleet swirled around. (It was the first snow we had seen this winter. )Fortunately, she was just in time to see our aunt's childhood friends, A and D, who had also been visiting.
Our aunt was weaker than yesterday but quite comfortable.
This is a painting she did some years ago, inspired by a newspaper photo of a sad tiger in a zoo, which now hangs in her hall.
