Extreme Blipping

We had rain again today, but further up the road from Cave onwards they had snow. Snow for MrsPuff and I is a novality,we both come from Invercargill and you don't get a lot of snow there at all and if it does snow its one of those once in a blue moon things,so you can see why we get a bit excited. We went to Fairlie this morning and spent quite some time getting photos of people and just about anything to do with snow,it was great. We went a little further up the road to Burkes Pass. At the Fairlie boundary there was a centry advising people heading towards Burkes Pass and Tekapo that they will need chains. Well we drove to Burkes Pass and about 5km past before we turned around,as the grader was clearing snow about the same amout of snow was setteling on the road again. Tekapo must have over a metre of snow on the ground. To get an example of how deep the snow was at Burkes Pass Cemetery here is MrsPuff getting herself a Blip. The snow depth was halfway up MrsPuffs thighs. Also got some beautiful Husky and Malamoot photos today, will post those on Flickr tomorrow.
