Piping Pipit on the Coast Path...
Our friend Michael is visiting this weekend and, contrary to the dire forecast, the sun was shining on his arrival. After tea in the summerhouse, we marched him with the dogs to the coast path where the entire range of spring flowers from bluebells to foxgloves are all in bloom together.
Along with linnets and stonechats, oystercatchers and skylarks, the pipits (both meadow and rock) were everywhere. This fellow sang his heart out to us...
