A new Kindle

My old kindle bought in 2011 was perfect for reading in bed and carrying everywhere. I looked at it 2 weeks ago and the display was broken I only got a bit of the picture and no writing. I used my kindle fire which is fine but not in bed. Yesterday I decided I would buy a new one. It is really small but actually the screen is the same size as the old one. When I switched it on it worked immediately even with the wifi. It must have synched with all my other amazon gadgets. 
I had a lovely sunny but cold walk to the library. I do still like a book but sometimes it is quite painful on the hands.
