Emergency measures

We knew something must be happening when the generator turned up. Not that we’d had an email, text message or a card through the door. So this morning the electricity duly went out and, inevitably, it transpired the generator was faulty. At least we could boil water for the essential tea and coffee. And for lunch I baked some toasties on the top of the stove wrapped in tin foil. The generator kicked in at 4pm so hopefully that’s sorted now as we have no idea how long this might go on for.

Dinner time included a discussion about American wrestling stars from the kids childhood which was very entertaining.
