New Lens!

got home late afternoon from a trip to Sydney, to find the new lens i had ordered - kindly left by the UPS chap just inside the front porch!  i wasn't expecting it till the end of the month...so that was kinda thrilling :)

I have been missing a lens that is not micro, macro, wide angle, long lens etc., and the 18-55 mm that came with the camera is shot....so i now have a handy lens, 35 mm f1.8 ..... i don't think i realised it was a fixed lens when i ordered it.   oh well, it'll do the trick.   this was taken at around 5.00 pm, at f1.8, and 800 iso....a bit fuzzy but not too bad ....

cold and windy but bright too!
