Sea Foam
We had a slow start to the day, and pottered. TT is still doing his jigsaw, I was reading my book and there are always chores to be done.
Later in the morning I walked down town, taking a detour to check out the river. It is very brown, but not nearly as high as it has been. TT’s mum reported that the River Ouse is even higher than it was when we were there.
After lunch TT and I went for a walk at Tyninghame. We’ve not been there for ages. We walked along behind the dunes and were aware of the noise of the waves, but couldn’t see them. We were amazed when we got down on to the beach. Although it was a very still day there were lots of waves crashing and they were very noisy, with lots of foam on the beach. It was also misty which was rather disconcerting as we walked along the beach as we couldn’t tell how far in the tide was and whether we could get right along. As it was the tide was far enough out that we could get along and we continued walking right round the coast. The path back up through the trees to the car park was very muddy. It was a lovely atmospheric walk and very noisy!
Tea was a joint effort – TT and I. The boys had steak pie and I had a veggie option.
Later TT and I watched two films, The Witches, then another film with Anthony Hopkins quite good
Meanwhile BB went off to meet R, and came back with the rest of this Christmas present which had eventually arrived!
We were fascinated by the colours in the foam bubbles on the beach.
