My Double Clematis.........

............has opened up this morning - a little peculiar as there are single and double flowers on the same stem but it all adds to the variety of life! It is planted next to my golden leafed choisya - which is a great contrast -but I couldn't get quite the right angle to show both.

Anni is here for her 5-weekly haircut and a bit of lunch - shan't be seeing her for a while as she is off to the USA for some Blipmeets! She is really excited and I'm both so pleased for her and very envious - she is very good and does keep in touch - however old our children get, Mothers are always wondering how they are getting on especially if they go away on their own. When she and Himself go on holiday it is a different matter 'cos' there are then two of them.

We have had quite a lot of rain overnight which we really needed - consequently it is cooler today - with sun and clouds - temperature at around 64 deg. F.
