Croxall Lakes

Now the floods have subsided, there’s mud and strewn branches around. Roads round here seem to be passable now but everywhere is so quiet (and I don’t mean just humans.). Maybe it’s the very icy weather, but the birds aren’t around in large numbers. 

I pulled over briefly at Croxall Lakes, another Staffordshire Wildlife Trust reserve. Quite deserted (apart from a couple of mallards and some gulls.) and the tiny car park is a bit of a mess too. 

Overcast. Chilly…… but some welcome blue sky.
