Floating
We went for a walk along the river today. The dog isn't allowed on the main beaches in the summer so the riverbank here has to do instead. The river here is behind the barrage but is still tidal, so the river here has a high and low tide and is salty like the sea.
Like last year we went foraging for grapes again. There is a small vineyard to the north side of the river facing south (basically behind me as I took this picture) and a few of the vines have escaped and are growing free over the footpath above the "beach". This year we brought a set of garden tools so we could get the grapes most people couldn't reach.
The dog wasn't totally impressed with us, but found a plenty of things to sniff and we did give him a proper walk too. I'll be making black grape jelly in the next few days - assuming work doesn't get in the way.
Back blip.
As I'm months behind on my blipping I can confirm that several batches of jelly were made - and came out very nice too! Phase 2 of the project I've been working on for basically a whole year is now in the process of going live. In the last few days we've turned on the customer interface and though there have been a few wrinkles it's basically working fine now and the next phase will be to activate the billing component. The client has already invited us to meetings for Phase 3, which is nice that they like us, but it would be nice to let the current phase bed in properly first!
