Still standing

The Christmas tree is still standing outside the parish church, though the lights have been removed. Don’t be fooled by that blue sky and sunshine, it was bitterly cold.

Started to feel like I was going down with something on Sunday, and today the lurgy has come out in full. So after taking Dad to the optician on the high street, and then a visit from the double glazing surveyor, wrapped myself up in a blanket on the settee; haven’t been able to get warm the last couple of days, despite numerous layers and the heating on full blast.
