Going Nuts

The lake was partially frozen today with ice as grey as the sky overhead. I tried a few shots, but nothing seemed to click, so I walked on. I switched to b&w in the hope of finding a nice silhouette against the sky or ice.

By chance I saw movement and following it best I could led to this squirrel carrying a nut in its mouth. Fortunately it stopped in the cleft of this branch allowing me to get a few quick shots.

I thought about cropping in closer to something like the thumbnail view, but decided on keeping the wider frame today.
