Super Heroes

After our Saturday lunch in town we went down to Hyde Park for a walk around the lake. It's just outside the city and is a popular place for families to go for a picnic or BBQ.

It was an exceptionally warm day and there were many people out and about enjoying the sunshine.

A huge black swan ran towards us at one stage as if we were long lost friends but she disowned us pretty quickly once it became obvious that we had no food to share. I was kicking myself that I hadn't brought along some bread. I'll put a pic of her in my folio.

This piece of public art was interesting. It was a small chequered table fixed onto part of an old bike with a number of cast metal figures including this bride and groom and the cocky spread over the table.

The little boy came over while we were standing there and proceeded to tell us a long and convoluted story about the figures which ended with "....and so the Super Heroes are coming to save the people, and maybe the cocky!" He was so funny and sweet!
