Crocosmia empty seed cases.
A while ago I blipped the Crocosmia seeds in one of the seed heads. At Kanyl's today, I spotted the cases after the seeds had disappeared. The shape and texture caught my eye so they are blipped.
Tonight we attended a meeting of the local Wildlife Trust support group for a fascinating talk on Peatland Conservation. He also brought items ranging from a mini bog through the cast skin of Dragonfly Larvea to pieces of perfectly preserved birch found in a peat bed. the mini bog was interesting as it showed a piece from a Cumbrian bog which contained many plants of Sarracennia an American plant. It is so invasive they have to go into a treacherous part of the bog to pull it out.
