Hadrian 76-138 AD

Visited the tomb of Hadrian, better known as Castel Sant' Angelo. Hadrian is best known among us, of course, for visiting Britain when he heard of the revolting tendencies of those north of the border, and deciding to build a wall "to separate Romans from the barbarians".

An excellent visit, by the way. Actually started to go to St Peter's, but the queue (in boiling hot sunshine) was two hours long. Since I've been before, this was plan B.
