Amazing
Tuesday
Wow what a day. We knew it would be cold so delayed going out to the car until after the sun had risen to hopefully warm things up abit. It was reading -7 in the car brrr. The sun was shining and the trees and surroundings looked amazing covered in a white frost, beautiful.
We warmed ourselves up with a breakfast in The Coffee Pot first. I had eggy bread with bacon and maple syrup plus a strawberry :) Mike had a Scottish breakfast and asked for his beans in a bowel as lat time it smoothed the rest of the food.
On to Loch An Eilein for a walk. It was stunning and although still -7 there was no wind so not too bad as we were wrapped up.
The trees looked fantastic and they sparkled in the sunlight. The loch was frozen and making funny noises. We had a good wander.Tge Jackdaws on the trees in the castle were very vocal their voices echoing around. The castle looked like an ice palace.
Afterwards to went to Glenmore to the cafe where we had leek and tattie soup. Had to stop at Loch Morlich to feed the ducks again. There were even more ducks today flying in from all directions. Yesterday I had given some food to a little girl who was nearby, she was fascinated by them and enjoyed throwing them a few seeds.
One last look up the mountain and then home. We were surprised how foggy it was. There was a definite band of fog as we approached from the sunshine.
Had the car washed as it’s in for its MOT and service tomorrow. Picked up some dinners from M&S too :)
Thank you everyone for your comments, stars and hearts for my blip birthday. I really appreciate them :)
