All dressed up...
The statue of "Wee Annie" in Gourock - created by Angela Hunter as part of a public art project in 2011- is a lovely reminder of all the excited children (and adults) that went "doon the watter" for their holidays on the Clyde Steamers over many generations.
There is a tradition of dressing it appropriately for the winter (indeed during the pandemic she even wore a mask) and it was good therefore to catch that today when I was over in Gourock having lunch with a friend and his wife.
I loved the attention to detail which ensured she had a little Christmas tree in her bucket , alongside, of course, the spade !
