Mr Bates vs the Post Office

Everyone who works British TV drama is very proud of this show, to see that justice can be accelerated and lives and the law change by a TV drama matters to us all.  I know writer, director, producer, commissioner and a lot of the actors and have been writing to many of them.    I finally watched the last episode this evening and it was immensely pleasing to get to the end and know it wasn’t over and that there had been such extraordinary consequences.  But the final captions still took my breath away with the list of statistics of the convicted, the ruined, the wounded and the dead.   Unbelievable,  I’ve followed the story for years since hearing the BBC podcast that started in 2018 (I think) and the scale still shocks me. 

For the rest of the day I worked at home and ran into Petersfield to do some errands at lunchtime.
