I didn't go into work today because of the icy roads. I have only been driving the day cab for two days and I am still learning how to use the brakes safely on it. That's not something you want to learn on ice. So it's been a day of catching up on blip, doing little things at home, playing with Tiger and watching the birds. With temps in the teens F (lower than -7 C) I have put out fresh water for the birds multiple times today. I was rewarded seeing over a dozen different types of birds including a varied thrush. I blipped this gold crowned sparrow because of how they can fluff up their feathers to deal with the cold temperatures.
