Drams and farewells

We said our goodbyes to Bill today. A long life, well lived. He practically lived with us for three months when we bought Elm House as he was building kitchen units, fitting doors and making extra wide child safety gates. A genuinely lovely man, it was a pleasure to know him.

This evening it was a rescheduled session of East Coast Whisky social and some very fine drams were enjoyed. And we raised a glass to Bill, of course.

Fortunately the evening get together wasn’t at our house as we had a power cut and the lights didn’t come back on until 10pm. Mrs S and Ossian huddled in front of the wood burner eating a curry from the Eastern Eye while I was out gallivanting.
