The Gala Day

It was our Gala Day today.

The one day of the year you can guarantee seeing old school friends, old neighbours, and generally catching up with people you haven't seen since last year.

Always a great day - great for the kids.

Our gala day is the oldest one in Midlothian - the first one was in 1903. I was Mistress of Robes (I uncrowned the retiring Queen, and put the robes on the new Queen). In 1978.
