The best I could do?

...in two ways.

A busy day meant that I was trying to Blip at 7.30 pm. It was not at all bright, the wind was blowing the small flowers, and I had forgotten to raise the ISO number. Hence the flowers are not in the least 'tack sharp'.

Secondly, it was the best I could do to get my long standing desire. I have kept on saying to the Head Gardener that we need a 'wild flower meadow' in the garden. Despite saying something like 'I promise to obey' during our marriage service 51 years ago, in the garden it just does not apply.

So, next best thing, we have this bed which has been left to itself since last Autumn. The Creeping Buttercups and Ground Elder have taken over, but a few small flowers still hold their heads high. So I at last have, maybe not a REAL wildflower meadow, but perhaps the next best thing, in the circumstances. But I haven't tried to explain this to the Head Gardener yet. After all, it's my job to keep the weeds down!
