Wild Horse
After yoga and breakfast this morning I got ready and Brian drove me out to Skellingthorpe to visit my Mum at the care home.
She seemed like she had a cold and had a husky voice. It is very rare she is ill, she has a very strong immune system where contagious illnesses are concerned. It didn't seem to be bothering her too much. As usual she was not very coherent but she seemed happy enough in herself, and friendly. I don't think she knew who I was.
Brian picked me up and I took this photo of a horse sculpture in the garden of a posh house opposite the care home entrance. I have seen the sculpture (or a very similar one) before when we went to the exhibition of sculptures by various artists on display at Doddington Hall. It was hard to get a shot as the best angle would have meant shooting straight into the very bright sun, so I am slightly hiding behind a a bush! Not just because I was worried that the owner would have come out and chased me off.
We picked up a little shopping from Morrison's on the way home, then had lunch whilst watching a closely contested Rugby League Challenge Cup first round game between the RAF side and the Navy side played just up the road at RAF Cranwell! The Navy won the game 28 - 22.
Yesterday I stayed in the house ALL DAY waiting for the dehumidifier to be delivered as we had been informed it would be. Turned out it was not being delivered to us but to DPD, the carrier company who are due to deliver it to us on Monday. Brian was not told this when offered Friday as a delivery option.
It was OK having a whole day in the house but I really would have preferred to go out at some time. In the evening I developed a migraine which I put down to the fact that I was looking at screens or paper for most of the day. I now have to wait in again on Monday! I will have the main cleaning jobs to do that day so not so much chance of a repeat of the migraine. I will be able to track the delivery and plan around it too.
