Punk bluetit!

When I blipped this little fledgling last Monday I was so sure that it had come from our nestbox. It was sitting on the ground at the side of our garage , near where our nestbox is situated.

As the day went on the parents still flew in and out frantically but no more birds appeared. This has gone on all week and the wee ones are still there. So the conclusion is that the first wee chick must have come from another nest.

This is one of the parent birds ready to fly in and feed the wee ones. I love its punk hairdo!
