Water Rail

Firstly, thank you so much for my milestone merriment! There were only so many variations on "thank you", but I tried to cover all your kind comments.

We tried an earlier visit to Slimbridge today, which worked well - not because we saw any more birds, but as we left we passed a concentration of twitchers from two coaches who arrived together! A flock, maybe? I've never seen so many tripod mounted spotter scopes and monster lenses in one place.

Anyway, this is one of two water rails nested outside the Willow Hide. one is smaller than the other, but I'm afraid I can't tell if they are a pair or a parent and offspring.
