Buzzing

A book that D had ordered had been mis-delivered to our neighbour. There are about 10 houses in our postcode, all spread out and some with similar names. Our neighbour is used to this sort of thing and sent a message to say they would leave the package outside their front door as they would be out today. Jess and I walked across the fields to their house and had a wee wander around the garden, which they are always encouraging us to do. Here are the beehives which were buzzing with bees enjoying the sunshine. They face southeast towards a roughly mowed bit of ground well away from the house. The hives belong to a  beekeeper who is well known in this area.

I did some housework and had another walk later on, before making the tea. Also made some sweet potato brownies from a recipe given to me by brambleblossom - tasty!
