Tit Willow

There was wassailing at Waltham Abbey and The Rivers Orchard this evening. In the past Ollie dog has accompanied me. Last year, after losing my darling Ollie, I went alone to Waltham Abbey. I intended to go to The Rivers this year but as I couldn't take Mishka with me as she's scared of other dogs I decided to give it a miss. My decision was made easier because I'd started watching Shirley Valentine, which I hadn't seen before.

We had a bit of brightness this morning. This great tit was chirping from a willow on the bank of the lake.
