Sausage, Bean and Kale Soup

The antidote to North winds blowing in -3 Deg C. L had a good birthday meal with 2 of the sons and DiL and today I wanted to give her an extra treat. A little while back she had a soup at 61 Osteria, the Italian restaurant next to BG and really liked it. Apart from not necessarily paying to get it again, for some reason they also took it off the menu. So I decided to try to reproduce it. If not exactly the same, it was a perfect soup to have with the cold weather sweeping in for our traditional first 7 days of winter here in Texas. 3rd st Bakerys bread special was Rye and Caraway seeds - delicious flavour - need to experiment with Rye. We usually have another few days again in April before we gear up for the summer sauna! Anyway, thought I’d post a picture of the soup - also I made enough for another 2 meals.
