Smoke rising vertically is apparently the definitive sign for Calm -0 - on the Beaufort Scale of wind conditions (no smut needed, thank you!)
We can see this farmhouse on the edge of Matlock looking across from our apartment and they had lit the fire early on this frosty morning.
