Connected, Comitted, For the Kingdom of Denmark
Today is a special day in Denmark. Queen Margrethe signed a declaration of her abdication and thereby transferred the crown to her son, our new King Frederik X. Queen Margrethe has been our Queen for 52 years.

I had a Nose Work training thing at lunch time and when we came home, I watched the Danish Prime Minister proclaime the King’s accession.
The King held his first speech to the people and revealed his motto: Connected (to the people). Comitted. For the Kingdom of Denmark.
The moment at the the Council of State, when the Queen signed the documents was very moving. She signed the papers, got up and let her son take her chair, then stepped back and said "God Save the King" before she left the room.
